  • Inspiring Leadership – positive roles models and leading by example

We are immensely proud that when asked what’s great about working for Halton, the most popular response from our workforce has been ‘our colleagues’.

As Director for Education, Inclusion & Provision you will help to define our education service of the future, strengthening SEND services and developing an all-phase school led improvement system. Partnership working and influencing skills will be vital to success, and you will focus on continuing to build and strengthen relationships with key partners across Education, Health, Police, and the voluntary and community sector.

We are looking for someone who can gain the respect of partners across a complicated education landscape, both in Halton and across the wider Liverpool City Region. Workforce will also be key, and you will help to develop and empower your staff to create a culture of inquisitiveness and learning as well as articulating our vision and ambition for education services. There are many benefits to leading and working in Halton. You will be part of a strong leadership team, have the support of skilled, loyal and dedicated staff, and focused political leadership with a will to deliver a broad and ambitious agenda for Halton.

You will have a strong political understanding, the ability to deliver results, and a flair for finding solutions that will add value to the day-to-day lives of our children and young people, and you will have a strong grasp of how transformation for the Council can enhance what we already do.
